Lets listen to these few (2 * 12) notes. It seems like these tones are going up and up. But der second part is identical.

There are always 3 notes played. But the volocity/loudness depends. Lets look at a full sequence of 3*12 tones:

If you like, we can listen to one tone only: (just the first 12 tone sequence)
tone1 tone2 tone3
The frequency of tone1 starts low and goes up till reaching the maximum.
If tone1, tone2 or tone3 reaches the maximum, they restarts at low frequency.

The trick will be:
Tone1 plays after 12 tones the identical volume and frequency as Tone2 at the beginning. And this is valid for tone 2 and 3 aswell.
